Asia Hall, was one of the first young women I welcomed onto Dear Rockstar in our first year of existence. As I sat down with her to reconnect and continue our conversation, I was struck by what I know but often forget, a lot happens in the life of an entrepreneur in a year.
Asia is still in the business of lighting up the world with her wearable technology, fashion expression, Neon Cowboys. Born of her love for country music and her family’s roots in fashion. It’s been 3 years since she had an epiphany at Stage Coach Music Festival that what everyone really NEEDED was a neon cowboy hat. And in nearly the same breath she admits as far as she’s come her handmade product still isn’t where she wants it to be…

Development takes time, “You never know how big it can get or how far it can take you.” Asia reminds us before admitting, manufacturing is still her biggest challenge. As a maker of a handmade crafted product Asia discusses the challenges of growing distribution and creating a profitable business model.
It’s believing it’s possible in the first place which allows us the fuel to persist until the door of opportunity swings open. This year Asia has experienced more celebrity endorsements, online orders, and press than ever before, but- she’s still not satisfied.
This episode reminds starters, makers and entrepreneurs how hard we can be on ourselves. And how often it’s our own inner critic we must learn how to quiet to realize our greatest dreams and the fullest manifestation of our God given talents, experiences and dreams. It also reminds us we are never done creating, it’s an iterative process. And raising money, well it’s not easy and investors invest in people not products.
All you millennial starters get ready, this episode is for you. For anyone who wanted to step out on intuition, who saw a possibility and inspired the divine timing of the universe to strike. Asia Hall, model, wearable technology founder and girl wonder will inspire you to light up the world with your ideas and dreams.

When we asked Asia what her favorite book was, she responded, Seth Godin’s Linchpin.
Around here Seth is a hero. So of course it makes sense that Linchpin is our #dearrockstar book of the week….
